Cultural Events in the Castillo de Luna
Few events are fortunate enough to take place in a castle. However, that is the case for the full season of flamenco performances, theatre and classical music that take place every summer in the unrivalled venue of the Castillo de Luna, which dates from the 18th Century.

The venue plays host to numerous and varied expositions by regional and national artists every summer. You will be afforded the great chance of acquiring some exceptional contemporary art work.
Santa Cecilia
Pays tribute to the great musical tradition that exists in Rota. Each year the town celebrates the Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music, with a wide range of musical activities ranging from concerts to local groups, street bands and choral recitals to musical instrument expositions.

Festival of Arranque Roteño
Each year, in the month of August, the “Viejo Agujeta” organises this festival of song and flamenco dancing. Some of the best singers, guitarists and dancers of the region come together for the occasion.
As well as having a wonderful evening tapping to the beat and clapping along, you can also try the “Arranque Roteño”, a town speciality with lends its name to the festival and is offered out the participants.
